914 - when master turned on, wastegate cycles as it should.

when engine running, wastegate opens at about 41 lbs manifold pressure.

however, with master on and engine off, if throttle is moved to max, no wastegate movement.

this is a 2001 engine in a new build.

    Hi Ken,

I would recommend downloading the TLR software from this site and hooking it up to your 914. It will allow you to check the throttle position sensor and the wastegate servo and synchronize them if needed.

If you need any help with the TLR software installation and usage this site has a few good videos that will help.

Ken I dont think it follows the throttle.   On power up the TCU self tests, it checks the lamps and cycles the wastegate.  When it stops it's fully closed for engine start.  Only once the engine starts theTCU then looks at the inputs of the sensors to tell it what boost level is needed.

    Cheers
