New 912iSc Crank Bias Negative Voltage

Hello,

We have a new 912iSc with around 24 hours. The pilots have mentioned getting a Lane B steady light on some starts that is resolved with the lane checks during runup.

The code I'm getting is: Crank Bias Negative Voltage, FC_Error is: Below Range, Fault_Reading: 1.19995

I haven't found anyone else talking about this with a Google search, so if anyone has any insight that would be great!

It's happened to them around 5 times, and I haven't had it show up during any of my runups. The aircraft is also new, with around 24 hours.

Hi Scott.

Here is similar thread. The similarities are more apparent on the second page where they discuss the same fault as you are seeing. There was no positive findings, but the problem looks to have been resolved by removing and resetting the crankshaft position sensors. Their resolution is not very confidence inspiring, but at least it points you in the direction of crankshaft positions sensor CPS-2, which is connected to ECU Lane B.

Try always starting with 3,000 RPM for 20 sec.

That ensures Lane B always connects correctly with no warning lights.
