Just curious as guys are starting to do the SB, how many of you are finding plugged nozzles?  I just ordered the kit.  We have several in the lineup to get done.

Are you performing the flow inspection before opening the engine?

I will be yes.  I just ordered the kit.  At training in SMLA now.

Where did you order the kit from? How are the roads? How much snow did they get?

I attended the call last January, I wish I could read my notes.

I tested mine today and the flow was about 6L/Minute.  It is difficult to say if this test was required for my aircraft because I installed the oil spray nozzle myself as part of the upgrade after my original stator burned out.  However, I thought it was a good way to verify my own work if nothing else. You can take the oil tank cap off during the test and hear the gurgling through the oil system, which verifies the air is going to the right place. If you have flow, but no gurgling through the oil tank, make sure the tool is properly installed and not just blowing air into the open end of the crankshaft.

Is there a special tool to get the nut off the back of the engine to access the oil spray nozzle to do the flow check?
