Hi All
Check the double ignition.
1,Rise engine speed up to 4000 rpm.
2,Turn “OFF“ LANE selector switch A. Observe the revcounter.
Notice:The speed drop may not exceed 180 rpm engine speed, which corresponds 75 rpm propeller speed.
3.................

We did that follow the procedure, I found engine rpm has a little go up. about 50 to 100 rpm, Is it normal?

I do not know if it is normal or not but mine does the same thing. Also, when lane B is off RPM
drops some but then comes back to near original value that was displayed at start of checks

It is normal. When you turn off one of the Lanes the engine goes to power mode. so a RPM increase is possible.

    Thanks,I agree with you.

I believe that the RC ECU system is programmed that either Computer can run both ignitions.

Therefore a "Lane A Lane B" check is checking that both ECU's are functioning correctly. Initially when you turn off a lane the rpm will momentarily drop as the engine goes into one ECU and one ignition and one injector etc etc. Then very quickly the remaining ECU starts to run both ignitions and ijectors and as stated above it goes into power mode.

Soooo it is not really an ignition check (the ecu's do this constantly and continually and will warn of ANY ECU issues including but not limited to ignition issues) it is really a complete ECU check which is far more powerful....and useful than just checking the ignition.

This is why it is called a Lane A/B check NOT a magneto check.
