A recent report on fuel standards published by the National Acadamies of Sciences Engiering and Medicine Transportation Research Board says "Rotax recommends occasional modest 100LL use to provide lubrication" regarding the use of Leaded AVGAS for lubrication of the engine valves.
I wasn't aware that Rotax suggested or recommended this.
Obviously, they approve the use of the fuel and the increased oil change intervals when using in excess of 30 percent of Leaded AVGAS, but I was unaware that some use was bennificial to the valves.
I suppose it is possible that the report includes non approved Rotax data.
