Fuel Injector cleaning

Can they be cleaned and put back into service? I've had a few get clogged/partially blocked over the years. I've always just replaced them, but it got me wondering, could they be blown out/cleaned and re-used?

I know car fuel injectors can be cleaned by hand...

Rotax manuals as far as I know don't have a procedure foe cleaning injectors, So looks likes by the book it'd R&R. But I have also heard of people using specialty race shops that have the test equipment to document a new injector spray pattern (as a base line) then test and document a suspect or dirty injector for initial spray pattern/clean/retest/compare/document.
