Thinking of getting a 912iS
I am considering purchasing a 912iS instead of a 912 ULS. What are some common issues that you all have encountered that I should be aware of before moving forward with this purchase?

There are pros and cons to both, but no "common Issues" from one to the other.
Price - 912ULS is less expensive to buy and install
Complex - 912ULS is much easier to install (less wiring and less complicated fuel system)
Maintenace - 912iS has no carbs, so they are MUCH easier to maintain
Operation - 912iS is super smooth and easier to start
Fuel - 912iS has a slightly better fuel burn rate and power
Diagnosis - 912iS has an ECU with data that can be downloaded for troubleshooting

But don't you need some special and expensive equipment to download that ECU data?
I have never had a problem starting my ULS. I can't say it's "super smooth", but it seems smooth enough to me, considering it IS an internal combustion engine, haha.
I personally would rather fiddle with carbs than electronics any day. The ULS also weighs considerably less.

As you say "I would rather...."
This is personal preference, you are obviously used to carbs ...however many of the newer generation would prefer playing on a laptop to changing carb jets....
Go with your personal preference...nothing wrong with that...but acknowledge that, that is just you and others are not you...

Yeah, of course, it's just me... and others are not me. Thanks for the insight.
I haven't had to change any jets yet... what does that dongle cost again?
