Yes, A is MAIN, B is AUX.
The MAIN Pump is plumbed closest to the INlet side of the Pump Assembly.
The AUX is Closest to the OUTlet.
In reality, it makes little difference. They are both Equals.
Once at a safe altitude, Select one pump for the cruise flight.
MAIN on EVEN Numbered days and AUX on the ODD days.

The only real reason for consistent wiring is if one day you have a pump problem, you will know which pump it is physically.

Brilliant, thanks Bill. Makes sense. Extra confusion because my pump doesn't have the Main and Aux lables inside. Your clarification, Main near inlet most helpful.
