dual fuel return lines needed.

I had a fuel return line installed in my kit fox after I replaced the old pump with the new one. Subsequently, on a long flight (3 hrs) I noticed that one wing tank was full and the other one nearly empty. (yes, I was flying straight.) the full tank is the one with the fuel return line. I made a precautionary landing, the plane seemed ok, I added fuel to the low tank and headed home not knowing the cause but suspecting the return line. I put the plane in maintenance and :unsure: Now the plane has NEW wing tanks and there are fuel return fittings in both wings per my request to the mechanic. If I split the fuel return line to feed both tanks, am I decreasing fuel pressure in the circuit in a bad way?
Should I just feed one tank like before and see what happens? I'm at a phase where adding the extra line is easy.
