I am seven hours into the new engine mount installation. The engine is smooth and runs well. Shut down is now smooth with no noticeable tremor as I had before. (likely from the bad mount) one EGT has dropped from the normal 12 and 13 range to 8. So, I am wondering, should I start at plugs, exhaust manifold joints, or the gauge itself to troubleshoot.
the gauges were all consistent for the first 6 hours. all at 11 or 12. the sudden drop to 8 concerns me and Its only on one EGT. there does appear to be a heavy soot build up in the exhaust pipe that wasn't there before. Ideas?
