Hi, I'm new here. I live in West Texas and own a 2012 Savannah S with the uls engine.
The float service bulletin is a little confusing to me as it list 912 A, F, and S engines.
Am I correct that my engine may be included in the bulletin? I haven't checked the serial number yet.
This is my first Rotax powered aircraft so I need a little advice on this one.

    Thanks
    Don

    Hi Don,
Rotax is required by the authorities to release a certified and a non-certified bulletin (they are not allowed to lump them all together). The 912A, 912F and 912S are certified engines. The 912ULS is a non-type certificated engine.
The bulletin that you will see your serial number is SB-912-067UL.
Often the UL bulletin is only one page; it just lists the effected engines and refers you to the certified SB for all the details. This is done to avoid documentation errors.
    Make sense?
    Rob

    Yes that helps a lot.
I've deal with service bulletins on Honda motorcycles for a long time.
Sometime I think companies go out of their way to complicate things.
Unfortunately that's just the way it is.
    Thanks for the quick answer.

Would you point me to the serial number location on my engine?
It might save me some time digging around under the cowl.
I apologize for all the questions, I'm still climbing the learning curve.
