I am having CDI trouble. I think one CDI is Bad so I bought a used one. Noticed the wiring is a wreck. But trying to match the CDI terminal ends to a product has been difficult. I found a vintage motorcycle supply house that has the same type. Is this where they come from? yamaha, Kawasaki, etc. Spruce doesn't have this terminal plug and NAPA doesn't carry anything like it. I'm about to buy some terminals from the vintage cycle place on line.
any advice.
the pic shows the type of terminal on the CDI. Its the Single plug type Im looking for.

    Hi Jay,

I don't see a picture. One of the Rotax service centers should have any plug for that and pins.
CPS is close for you. Aircraft Spruce owns CPS, but you may have better luck getting that part if you ask for CPS over Spruce.

    p.s.
You can send the modules to Lockwood Aviation and they have a tester to check the modules and that will remove all doubt and may save you a lot of time and money.

I think this picture should go through. Its a picture of the bullet connectors (single) on the CDI. I know the CDI is good because it was tested and functions fine. I just can't put it in until I rewire my ignition wire and the red wires from the braided engine cable. those connectors are toast.

You can contact CARMO ELECTRONICS in Europe, this guys made the Ducati CDI for ROTAX and they have the original connectors, if you can´t do it you can send them your CDI modules and they can change a new wires loom with the connectors.

Bullet style terminals are available here in the USA:

They also sell the multiway connectors too. Look up MT style.

Wow, Sorry I didn't close this thread ... two years ago, but I forgot. Anyway, the engine was repaired with single bullet connectors and flew fine until I had another issue that grounded me for a while until I replaced the entire engine. It was just that the electrical wiring harness was old and cruddy from 20 plus years of life. I didn't want to chase wires and learn electrical maintenance from scratch so I bought a new motor. It flies just like the old motor only ... newer.
thanks for the info on sourcing.
