I put those very light pull McFarland springs my carbs..... been running the 912 ULS without any for a long time... now that I have them.... they are kind of irritating.

My throttle linkages we're wearing pre-maturely without the spring tension and I doubt my carbs were advancing exactly equally without them.... so I bought those extra light springs & installed them.

I guess I will get used to it.... anyone else not run them or do run them.... ??

    Hi Blake,

    Why are they irritating?

You really should have them that pull into the open position. They should help keep the opening of the throttle more equal and make carb sync easier.

I just have to constantly over tighten the throttle.... I can't take my hand off without really tightening the throttle friction knob.... its just a bit of a pain to deal with.... maybe I will get used to it!

Most of the RV12 guys have changed out the factory throttle and put in a better quality McFarland. The 5-6 guys I see have done this and aren't having any issues.
