Can the barrels on a 912ul be fitted to a 912uls engine?

    HI Peter,
Can you define barrels a little better? Carbs?
    Thanks

I was meaning the finned barrels but on further investigation into the parts lists of both engines, they are listed as different part numbers for each engine so that answers my question thanks Roger.

Now I am more confused.

My first guess was going to be "Cylinders".
But then I thought, Carbs have Barrels and Cylinder would be called "Jugs".
    So I deleted that post.
Now I am thinking that "Finned Barrels" must mean Cylinders. My First guess.

    So the answer is Maybe!

The Ul is a 1200cc engine, The ULS is 1350cc.
The Cylinders with matched heads and pistons should mount OK. Maybe!!!
The Carbs may need to be re-jetted for the now 100hp engine.
A few other items may need to be swapped or re-plumbed also.

So the answer is Maybe! This will be an engine Hack!
You are definitely going beyond anything Rotax is going to agree with.

Sound like fun to me. Let us know what you decide.

Thanks for this info. The term "jugs" is not a common term in Australia but yes, that is what I meant. This also is way beyond what I would want to do now I have this info. I was not aware they were two different sized capacity engines. Thanks again for the help. Cheers.

Well, this should be a good future reference on the difference between ul and uls.
