Not aware of a dongle update required. But remember TCU (914) doesn’t use a dongle. 

Hmm, USBc to USB adapter... I wonder if OP, William Sollenberger, was trying to use Apple laptop with BUDS/dongle. I presume it used to work until he upgraded to BUDS 4.0 

Yes Robert, I was curious if I had a dongle and I tried to view a 914 TCU through it, if it would work or if I need both cables in my toolkit for the full array of 9 series engines.

Apologies if this seems like a silly question. The only dumb question is the one that someone has and it doesn't get asked...
