I have searched the forums and internet fairly well and haven't found the information im seeking.  I would like to know the differenced between the newer cases/block that changed in what appears to be 2006 or possibly 2008.  Also how can someone identify if this the engine is indeed a later model stronger/beefer case?    Is there some sure fire way of seeing a big difference between the two?      On this same note, where are you guys sourcing parts at here in the US for best pricing and service.

Thank you in advance!

In early 2007, Rotax made modifications to the engine block of the 912 UL, 912ULS, and 914 engines to address case fretting issues, particularly on the 912ULS. These changes also increased the time between overhaul (TBO) to 2000 hours. An easy way to determine if the engine has the newer style block is to examine the center bolt between the #2 and #4 cylinders, as you will notice that the block has been machined to accommodate the center bolt. Please refer to the provided photo for visual reference.
