Active Post Position

I suggest that "active" posts remain at/ return to the top of the topic listing. By active I mean those posts/conversations that are current.
Keeping posts in date order;
has the potential to have that active conversation move onto another page,
where it may not be seen/followed by interested parties
or where an old post is "revived" not be seen by interested parties
