Lightning Coil & ADS-b

I guess I should of started my other post like this.... From what I've been told by the FAA and EAA, some of us have a serious problem... we need to have ADS-b by January 1st, 2020.......

• How much voltage and power will a lightning coil produce, 377/447/503/582?
• How many amps can you safely pull from a Key West Regulator?
• On a Quicksilver type aircraft, where do you mount the ADS-b equipment, it isn't like we have an instrument pannel?

You only need ADSB if you are flying into, under or over Class B or C airspace.
If you do not already have an electrical system you are not required to install ADSB.

You can still get into class B/C Airspace by calling ahead, traffic permitting.
You will probably never get permission to enter the 10 busiest Class B's.

You won't require it at all the un-towered airports south of the St Louis Mode C Ring.
You can fly under the St Louis Class B with permission and an Hours notice to approach control.

Legal or not it is still an excellent idea to equip.
The power requirements at minimal. >1A.
