Re: 914 aluminum shavings in oil filter 600 hours

I have pulled the oil canister and inspected the screen and fine filtered oil with nothing found. I have also pulled the oil pump and inspected it with no signs of anything abnormal. I have reassemble everything and I'm going to fly it with another filter inspection in 25 hours staying close to home. If I find anything further I'll report back.

Perhaps you like to consider changing the oil filter two or three times over the next let’s say 10 hours of operation. They are not very expensive, you would only need a little top up of oil. Magnetic screw inspection is simple. Effort in time is fairly little but it would give you some more information quickly. May be good for peace of mind to know that nothing appears in the filters you sacrifice. Just a though.

I agree. I have a few on order. I will report back.
