Hello Roger, I just bought the spring and the ball for the oil regulator, as soon as I install it I will give a feedback here. Unfortunately I didn´t find the plug. Thank you very much, really your help and efficiency are awesome !

    Hi Ricardo,

You ought to try and find the longer plug screw. It may make a difference if the spring is rubbing on the engine side wall.

The provider told me that need around 40 days to receive it. What you think about I buy a normal screw, I guess is a M12, and take it for a good lathe service ? I only neet to know the total lenght and the hole depth for the spring.

    Richard,
What are you using for your oil pressure reading. The Rotax, VDO and other oil pressure senders are bad about false readings (usually high then normal then high, never too low) after a while due to either harmonic vibrations or pressure pulsations damaging the sending unit mechanism. I have changed mine three times and was advised to mount my sending unit on a 45 degree pipe fitting and the problems would stop. This indicates to me it is a harmonic vibration causing these failures. I am in the process of remounting mine soon as it is again reading high. Rotax mounted a brass ring on the original oil pressure sender to stop the harmonics but mine still failed as do many others.

Hello Dale, I´m using the original Rotax sender and gauge, but my problem is sporadic, only 1 time it wents to 95 psi, and now works around 60 PSI, then it is difficcult to diagnose. I believe the way is to change the screw, spring and ball of pressure regulator, for this situation. About your problem, maybe a adaptor, with a restriction can dampen the harmonic vibration, but analizing the location of sender, the better solution is to change the location it, but I can´t imagine where.
