Re: oozing Oil Breather ? solution?

I believe I have purchased WildIrishTime's Kitfox 5. The plane hasn't flown much in the last 5-6 years, but still has an oil oozing problem. I have attached some photos to help diagnose the problem. One thing that was weird is the oil vent line had a screw in the end of it, which I removed after taking these photos. The bypass hole/notch in the vent tube remains unobstructed. It's clear it has been spraying oil.
Oil pressures are within tolerances, but typically in the low to mid-30 PSI range at idle and high RPM. If there aren't any clear issues in these photos, I can do a deeper dive of the oil system to ensure there are no unobstructed flows. Thanks!

The vent line should NEVER be plugged up. As air pushes the oil back to the oil tank from the bottom of the case it needs somewhere to go. That hose must remain open. Now the oil vapors and sometimes a little more will come out of the vent tube and that's perfectly normal. This is where the impurities that are vaporised come out. It will leaqve a little residue. The only other way oil could come out here is if the oil tank was over filled. From what I saw in the pictures it looks fairly normal.
p.s.
Your oil and fuel hoses should all be in fire sleeve.
