With the oil tank vented it will always have an oil vapor that will eventually turn the belly slightly yellowish. It will wipe off. Absolutely do not plug this vent or severe consequences will result. It is the engines only vent. This venting is normal. You should not have actual oil all over the bottom unless the vent hose is set up wrong or the tank is too full. You should have no problems with the oil level up to the full mark. If you take it down to the half mark and still have a problem then you may have another issue.

I don't have 'oil' flowing underneath, I just have a small thin film/stream of oil about 2-3" long under the belly.

I did lower the level to just below half full on the new model dipstick but haven't flown it
    enough yet to know.

To answer someone's earlier question, my sump point on my tractor aircraft is on the REAR oil sump location. is this correct for tractor configuration?

    Thanks!

The rear sump drain would be correct for your aircraft. I have always had some oil film on my plane from the vent and it is amazing how much mess even a tiny bit of oil and water vapor can make. Next time you are at the airport, look under other planes. You'll find very few that don't have a dirty belly.

The vent hose off the top off the oil reservoir should have a hole or notch cut in it above the bottom of the tube back up in the cow area. This will help stop the oil and high concentration of oil vapors from coming out the oil vent tube and help prevent any blockage at a single point. T
