I have a 912 UL with electronic module # 965358 and 4 pin connector. I have a 5 position ignition switch. The last time I turned the engine off, the rpm dropped about 100, but continued to run for about 30 seconds and then quit.I checked the single pin connections coming out of the A and B modules that goes to the ignition switch and they checked ok. I disconnected the module single pins from the switch and read the resistance between the modules single pins and ground with my digital meter. Module "A" reads 1.0 (no flow) while module "B" reads 0.29 ( some flow). Does anyone know what it should read? Should both read 1.0 or 0.29?
Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Gene,

    Usually this can be caused by a loose ground wire from a module to the ignition switch. Make sure all the wires on the back of the ignition switch are tight. (Common area to have a loose wire) Check at the modules for a bad pin in the connector and make sure you have a good grounding between battery, engine and your main ground bus.

    Thanks for your reply.
    Everything that you mentioned, I had already checked and all was good. I have taken the modules off the engine and, of course, I get the same readings ( 1.0 and 0.29 ). That's why I suspect one of the modules is bad. I just don't know which one. Should they both read 1.0 or 0.29 or some other number.

    This is common on the 4 pin modules. Pull the wires and you will find one will probably stretch. The inner core has broken but the outer PVC cover is still intact.
