Charging off line

912ULS total of 48 hrs since new, operating great. Today, alternator didn't charge. recorded -9V discharge and degrading battery voltage. Any suggestions as to what to check first? Nearest Rotax service is about 170 miles away. Stan

y had the same Pb , and it was the yellows connection on regulateur
