What's the screw next to the idle screw for?

The manual shows it in the images, but has no description for it's function.

    If you are talking about the small brass looking screw next to the idle mixture screw then that is just an extra open port. You could hook up something like a starting primer. If you have no specific use for it just leave the screw alone.

    It is also a handy place to hook up your pressure gauges for carb syncing without having to mess with the crossover tube other than to pinch it off.

    If you use that screw to carb sync could loosen or leak over time, but the big thing is you still have to separate the carbs either by pinching the rubber cross over hose on newer engines only or by disconnecting the hose. I'm old school here and just separate and plug into the rubber cross over tube hose. Then I never have to worry about any leak between carbs messing with my sync.
