Turn ON the Aux pump and wait ~10-20 seconds for the pump to fill the carbs before attempting the first start.

    If that doesn't work.....
Pull the fuel line off one Carb and point it into a fuel can.
    Start the Aux fuel pump.
If the hose delivers fuel, OK!

If Not, you will need a bypass valve for the Aux pump to bypass the Mechanical pump.
Without this, your Aux Pump will not help if the Main pump ever fails.

Tony, I have the same issue. When warm it fires right up. If its cold I have to crank for a while. Pre heating the engine seems to help. I have electric back up fuel pumps and a mechanical with a fuel psi gauge to monitor. I feel at this point its my choke on the carb because it makes no difference if its on or off when starting cold. My next step is to pull the carbs and see if their might be some debris in the choke circuit.

Here's another solution that worked for me.
There is an o-ring between the intake manifold and the rubber carburator adaptor. Replace the o-ring on each side. Now my engine starts instantly.

Those "O" rings and carb sockets are 5 year replacement items.

What can be other part or component which creates hindrance in starting/sparking apart from spark plugs, carburator or ignition module? Is starter one of them?
