Both of my EGT probes have developed faults which are due to wiring faults near the probes--if I manipulate the wires close to the probes (engine off!) my Dynon displays ambient temp, sometimes, and in flight the EGT temps wobble all over the place.

But I can't determine how to remove the existing Dynon probes to swap them out. I open the hose clamps completely, and the probes are loose. Light manual pulling does not extract the probes, even if I rotate gently. Before I break out the pliers and use the brute force method, is there a gentle method for removing the probes, or is this really a case of just having to give the probes a good tug to pull them out.

They have baked on debris on the inside. Just keep pulling and wiggling them around and they will slowly, but surely come out.
