How can I eliminate the small but irritating drip of oil from the rocker covers? I replaced the rocker cover gaskets, making certain that all surfaces were clean before I installed the gaskets and torqued to factory spec. I still have one drop falling every 20 minutes or so when I fly--I can smell the oil burning off of the exhaust manifold. Should I try again with a commercial gasket compound in addition to the Rotax gasket?

Try these 2 ideas in steps. Take the valve cover off and get some 600 grit sandpaper and put the valve cover down on it and in figure 8 motions smooth the face of the cover to remove any uneven spots. Then put it back on and try it. If that doesn't work take some Loctite 598 (same as for the gearbox) and apply a thin film on the head side where the "O" ring makes contact. Then let us know how it works out.
