They only cost around $30-$40 and easy to replace. (most of the time :))

Unless you have the 914 in which case EGT sensor Rotax 966-370 is $243.74 EACH!

This is what I use on my 914 with the Grand Rapids box, $49. The Rotax part may be that much but other folks make them and would be much cheaper.

This is one of the most common types out there and easy to install.

    Greetings all!

I found this thread by search and read it with interest as it is related to a question I have.

I have a 400 hour 912ULS on a Quik GTR trike I've owned since new. For most of its life the right hand EGTs have read higher than the left. I was flying in Lake Havasu a month ago but temps were quite cold and as I had experienced at home in Idaho, number 4 cylinder was tickling the yellow on my MGL when under load. I raised the needle on only the right side carb (pusher configuration) then synced them. Number 1 and 2 as well as 3 and 4 both are reading almost identical now and engine is smooth. Should I have any concern about having the needles set differently on right versus the left as long as the temps are good and engine is running well?

    Thank you in advance!
    Chris
