Simple Green Aircraft is a safe degreaser the will allow you to rinse away the oil with water.

Even on electrics?

Personally and in my opinion I would rather have them clean than soaking in engine oil, oil could cause the coating on the pickup coils to break down or the air gap to change as oil attracts dust/dirt. Just run the engine up to operating temperature to thoroughly dry it after rinsing. I personally used this on my Rotax 912 ULS about 7 years ago just to clean it up and never had an issue. Maybe someone else on this forum has something to add or call an authorized service center.
