Your Oil Pressure will go to ZERO!  The Engine will sieze about 30 seconds later!

DO NOT Reinstall that Spring!!!   You have just dodged a bullet.

Have you been seeing the Oil Pressure Fluttering when the engine is Hot?

Now, I imagine this like: oil pump distributes oil to engine and if pressure reach some value, ball open bypass directly to crankcase and back to oil tank? Is my intuition right?

I don not know about Oil Pressure Fluttering, because I just bought engine... (made some maybe 30 minutes test run on ground, oil temperature was around 60 degrees of celsius, I did not noticed something bad)

I did some maintenace, fluids change and I found this :)

You have the idea OK!

But, when the valve Opens the Oil Bypasses directly back to the Pump Input for the same result.

The Spring pressure directly determins the Oil Pressure.

No Spring Pressure Equals NO Oil Pressure.

When you eventually get it up to over 90°C, Watch the Oil Pressure.

It should be as steady as a rock with No bouncing around.
