I’m hoping that’s it.  Was told to check for Airbox line failure too.

Just heard about an S-12 in Rifle, CO that had the same low power problem and he found out that the waste gate wasn’t completely closing.  He had to remove the muffler (which he said was a sadistic job).

I’m hoping Stemme USA’s guru - who’s also certified by Rotax for all repairs on 914 F1/S2 is able to correct this problem soon....

I had to install a non TSO'd MP gauge from aircraft spruce ,and just as suspected  no seeable boost . I installed a spring to assist  the closure of the waste gate , 40"MP and back to 5500 rpms on the climb out back to new performance.  Wondering if any one here knows if there is a spring inside the turbo charger assembly  dont know if i should install a new turbo charger (now with 98hrs) or just fly as is. 1) thanks Steeme for NOT installing a manifold pressure gauge so we can  infinitely  trouble shoot blindly . Only a 500k aircraft they saved 100bucks during the assembly processes, yay 2) the service lube hole for the waste gate  is at the bottom ,no way the lube can get the upper waste gate area. 3) no effective waste gate spring that closes the gate , could be why most steemes have turbo issues, the one the dont have issues are owned by 95 year old billon airs that forgot about the plane,

Swapped out TCU and replaced / checked all sensors (wanted to rule out waste gate sensor).  Back to induction system.  3 week delay for parts.

    William

Are you a licensed AMP and qualified to work on your certified aircraft?

Have you talked with Rob Seaton from Rotech Motor or Wes Chumley at Stemme USA about these issues and how to resolve them? Rob and Wes are the two most qualified experts that can provide you with the proper advice on how to fix the problems you are having.

We can assure you that you will not find anyone more qualified within the Rotax-Owner forum that can help you with your Stemme Certified Aircraft and it is best to seek assistance from them if you haven't already.

Before you waste anymore time, replace both bowls and torque correctly. If they have ever been over tightened then it's very unlikely the gaskets will 100% seal. The bowls are such poor metal
