Put a coat of ACF-50 on it. Does look a lot better.

I take my Dremel tool with a metal wire brush and clean off all the rust. Then I spray it with Boeshield T-9 which is meant just for this and was designed for Boeing to prevent corrosion. I use it around my floating dive gear in salt water and never have any rust. I've been using it for this for 30 years. I mfg. Hooka dive systems and we had all our customers use this.

Thanks Roger. Is the T-9 better than ACF-50?? I just put some T-9 on the pitot tube. But can’t really tell any difference between the T-9 and ACF-50 at least in terms of application. I also have Corrosion-X. Can’t tell which of the 3 is the best.

Boeing T9 is just a coating. It doesn't remove rust. It has a paraffin base so it dries and doesn't stay wet like Corrosion-X. You won't really notice that it's even on the flange., but it will keep corrosion at bay. We used to spray it on our Honda engine and compressor for diving. It worked very well.
