    Luis,

Crank the engine with the electrical system to the spark plugs turned off. To check the fuel flow you don't want the engine to start while you are cranking.

Which type of primer do you have? one type is a bulb type which pumps fuel through the main fuel line, fuel pump, and into the carb bowl. The other type is a separate plunger type pump which pumps fuel through a small tube which is attached to a brass fitting in the side of the manifold. This second type bypasses the fuel pump and carb and squirts fuel directly into the manifold.

    Hey Bill
    I have a bulb primer
so this is what I did today
    change gas mix
with throttle half pull 10 times no gas on the boot intake
no throttle off choke on pull 10 time just a little bit gas on the boot intake
with no bowl pull 10 times no gas comes out ( but I get air in the fuel hose it my not be a true test )
check pulse line ( line from motor to fuel pump ) I get a good pulse enough to put air in a small balloon
took fuel pump apart check all gaskets again every thing looks good ( I rebuild the pump 5 or 6 working hours ago ) I did notice that the WEEP Hole looks close try to open the hole with a needle but nothing
so my next step is to buy a fuel pump
I getting ready to put a construction pick true the motor so a pump will cost much less LOL
pump intalation my ( take a look @ the pictures if you can )

    Luis,

If you had no gas coming out the bottom of the carb with the bowl off, then something is blocked in the fuel line or the pump is bad.

(1)The pictures helped a lot. With the bowl off, pump the primer bulb. This should cause fuel to pour out the bottom of the carb. If it does not, then you have a blockage somewhere.

(2)Take the fuel line from the pump to the carb loose from the pump and squeeze the bulb. If fuel comes out of the fuel pump with this fuel hose off, the blockage is in the carb and probably where the fuel line attaches to the carb.

    (3) Remove the fuel pump from the machine. You should be able to blow easily into the intake side of the pump but you shouldn't be able to suck air back through the intake port. You should be able to suck air easily through the outlet port but you shouldn't be able to blow into it. If this all works, the pump is probably OK.

With the bowl off and pumping the primer, fuel should pouring in large amounts out of the bottom of the carb. It is beginning to sound more like a blockage in the carb. The two places these blockages are most likely to occur are in the main jet or the float valve and your case sounds more like the float valve. Usually in the port where the fuel line connects to the carb is where the blockage occurs.

If you remove the fuel pump, try squeezing the bulb again with the pump off. If you get no fuel then, the blockage could be in the filter or the primer bulb.

The weep hole is not the problem. Even if the weep hole is blocked, the pump should work since you already know you are getting air pulses through the pulse line.

Just check these items one at a time and you will find the problem.

    pulse line for pulse.
    fuel filter for blockage
    primer bulb for proper operation
    fuel pump for proper flow
    float valve for blockage.

one of these items is the problem.

    Bill.

    Hi Luis,

I think you should just drop the 277 and put a nice 582 in. Like Tim Allen said, "More power, ARGGG". :)

Your hovercraft would really get with the program.

Sorry I got carried away. :)

    Hey Roger
with the supper skirts and the Hascon fan that I
have gives me all the lift and power that I want
plus with my weight :) and the 582 my hover will
    became a sinking barge LOL

So I did my balloon test again on the pulse line good pulse
blow in to pump suck from pump look like is working ok
attach fuel hose that goes to carb (after checking it) to pump and I did the balloon
test didn't fill the balloon , a closer look @ the pump it look like it has air coming from
the bolts I did put so rubber washers on bolts and know the balloon fills up
    I did order a pump
gas does come out off carb into bowl
    and that's where I m now
its going to be a few busy days I don't think I can get to work on it until next week
    have a good weekend Guys
