About the instruction video - Purging of Lubrication System:

I have a 912S and the optional thermostat installed.

I have followed the instructions in the video - but I am unsure of the following statement:
"Extra attention should be given to insure that the circuit is properly purged of air."

How can I ensure that the oil cooler is properly purged of air?

When running the engine for the first time from cold, I get normal oil pressure.
After a while around 120F it looks like pressure is dropping a bit, but still on green.
Returning the engine to Idle makes the pressure to rise again to "green-center".

I stopped the engine here, wanted to make sure where to ensure how to purge the circuit
after the thermostat.

Thanks,
Rickard

I'll let Roger be the more expert opinion, but my thought is that since the oil thermostat has a small passage that never allows the oil cooler to be completely cut off from the circuit, "extra attention" would be to allow some extra time in the purging process to insure that the cooler completely fills and pushes the air out of it. Just keep the purge air pressure on somewhat longer than usual. I know 3 of us who purged 912s with thermostats and had no trouble.
