What car year make and model does the Pierburg electric fuel pump fit on

Do you mean the fuel pump on the 912 which is a mechanical fuel pump?

No I want to buy a spare 12 volt pierburg pump that goes on a 914 Rotax engine. The pump is very expensive but if I had the car year and model that I feel sure it also goes on it would be much cheaper. I feel this pump was not designed just for Rotax but for a car and Rotax just adapted it.

While Pierburg is an exotic name in the US, It is an off the shelf supplier of automotive parts in Germany/Austria where Rotax is located.
It will likely be found in many eastern European made automobiles.
Look at Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Opel, Porche, or Volkswagen.

Most modern Automobiles have the fuel pump internally submerged inside the fuel tanks.
The external style pump you are looking at is likely an aftermarket product used in Performance/Racing applications.

There is nothing especially "Aerospace" about the pump.
Any locally available Fuel Pump of similar specifications will work.

Read the Part number off the pump and head for your local auto parts store.

Thanks Mr. Hertzel for your help, I have a daughter that lives in Germany I think I will give her the pump part number stamped on it and see if she can find it at a part store in Germany.

I have taken the pump off and carried it to all of our local part stores and none of them can help me unless I can give them the make model and year of the car it fits on.

    Thanks
