Roger does it matter if the washers go on the blade fixing bolt...or is it preferred on the hub bolts...as you know 4 nut.bolts per blade on a warp.

Had a go at re-balancing my 3 blade warp today Roger....most of the time was spent getting the balance tool to be at the correct C/G point on the prop....learned at lot as to how to tool become more or less accurate as its adjusted around the C/G,

I wasn't to impressed with the tool as it came to me...its the type you hang the prop on horizontally...I found that the 1.3mm fishing type line it hangs on was a loose fit in its hole...I had some at 1.5mm but still slightly slack in its hole...i estimate the hole is 2mm...I must see if I can pick some up...do you think that would effect its accuracy...anyway I ended up fitting a one gram washer under each of the 4 bolts clamping the one blade that appeared light...4 grams total,

Gave it a ground run 4500rpm max and it felt smooth...looking forward to check flying it now,

Thanks for all your advice Roger...a very interesting exercise.

    Hi Nick,

Nice to see pilots learning and perfecting their flying machine. :)
The balancer that hangs can be hard to use because some props like the Warp can be too heavy and break the string. Like you stated you have to get things lined up. This is one reason I went to the other more stable static balancer. It is rock solid. No way to get anything misaligned and very easy to use. The prop can be heavy or light and it can balance the entire hub and prop assembly forward of the prop flange. I usually just add a washer to the back of one of the prop flange bolts on the back of the flange. This balancer is so sensitive that I have to shut the hangar doors if even a breeze is present.

Nice job, let me know how it works out for you.

I will Roger...I have ordered some 1.65mm line I think that should be a snug fit in the plug...2mm being to thick.
