Hi Les,
At flight rpms the choke won't affect anything. To prove this next time you are flyting let's say around 5200 rpm put the choke on. Nothing will happen. The choke at low rpms would affect it and be too rich. With things you were working on you may have either fixed it or it was some type of obstruction????? If it stays running good you may never know. I personally will take running good and not have to try and fix something that's hard to find. :)
