I'm not on a sectional, but if you look on Google Maps, the field shows as Black Sheep airfield... we are about 10 miles southeast of Libby airfield, which is one of the very few airfields in the US that are a military/civilian base! There are F-16s and heavies there so be sure to check NOTAMS and ATC as it is an MOA before entering that airspace. If you look on a sectional or Foreflight, you can skirt the MOA by heading more easterly towards Tombstone! There is an airport there as well as Bisbee. Hit me up if anyone is heading this way.

I'll be at Ryan tomorrow 7am if you're around... Jeremy 520-241-8888 I wanted to buy a hangar there but TAA has indicated they are planning to seize all the hangars as the leases expire...

TIA isn’t going to seize hangars. They have been in negotiations to extend leases..

If you talk to Dutch at TAA you will see they indeed plan to seize the hangars... They won't renew a lease unless the owners agrees to allow TAA to own them. That's why I'm not buying a hangar at Ryan.

TIA would own the hangars and when I was in the meeting the owners just wanted TIA to change some of their language so TIA weren’t hangar Gods and could do whatever they wanted. They have approximately 7 more years to work this out. TIA wants absolute total unchecked control and the owners have zero say so. The contract language is what they were working on. Plus TIA wanted a unanimous vote for the go ahead and that isn’t going to happen either.
