    Hi David,

Boy talk about old. That is a 1978 Bing carb. That one has been around the block a time or two. I wouldn't mind making a little video, but I'm not sure Rotax would be happy about that and it may be too long to put on You Tube.

Great video (language could use a little work). A good example of the simplicity of this carb. Mike is right. It aint rocket science. A few minor differences in the newer carbs but not enough to make a difference in the process.

The video didn't mention the punch mark on the enricher and which way it faces and it didn't mention the punch mark on the butterfly and which way it faces. He should have mentioned to put Loctite on the enricher screws on re-assembly. If you take the needle out of the plunger then it should be heated around the retaining screw so you don't shear the head off trying to unscrew it. He didn't mention the tabs on the diaphragms and which way they are placed. He didn't mention about peening the butterfly retention screws so they don't fall out and get into your cylinders or how to get the old ones out. He didn't mention how to set the float arms and how high they are adjusted.
There are enough left out of this video to get you in trouble and take a while to figure what went wrong.

Your absolutely right Roger, this video isn't even close to representing the real requirements and will certainly get people in trouble if they try to use it as a guide! On that note, I heard that Rotax-Owner was going to release very soon a bing carb maintenance video influenced by the many requests for same they received from the recent survey they did! It should be posted on this site very soon!
