Hi all,

New rotax 582 owner, I'm currently in the middle of tearing down my bing 54's for a rebuild however ive ran into a slight issue. In the enrichment circuit there appears to be a small o ring however in my rebuild kit I dont have a ring that appears to be this size? Also whats the difference between this one and the newer solid brass piston type ones?

One thing I noticed is that in this diagram there appears to be no sort of o ring between the parts and the carb? Is there supposed to be one in the hole? on one of my carbs the o ring is as pictured below, yet the other one was completely dissolved and crudded up the hole?

Thanks!

There is NO o-ring to be installed in that section of the Carburetor. If you use the proper Rotax carburetor breakdown schematic you will see the difference between the two types of pistons.

You can find the Rotax 582 parts catalog with a parts breakdown on this site in the manual section. (See attachments)
