Can a Rotax 447 cylinder be bored
Hi all.
The piston/cylinder clearance in my Rotax 447 is to large. Can the cylinders be bored, or do I need to fit new cylinder sleeves? The engine is from around year 2000.
Thanks, Petter

Hi Petter
Yes they can be bored. Rotax sells oversize pistons for all the 2 strokes with cast iron sleeves. Rotax does not sell the sleeve itself however there are aftermarket people who can also resleeve the cylinders if needed. Check with your service providers.
Cheers
