    FWIW.

In the UK our LAA insist a fuel bleed pipe with small jet in it is installed.
Usually an extra Tee piece in line or an X connection piece is suitable - on top of the engine, after the pump - in front of the carb's.

The bleed is returned to the left wing tank, so when that's full do not run on the Right wing tank as the bleed is sufficient to top it up to overflowing. I've already experienced that !

In my case (80 hp)I am lucky to have the old engine driven Pierberg fuel pump - fuel bleed back amount is estimated at 2 to 3 Litres/hour.
Fuel pressure observation is by a simple & inexpensive plumbed in mechanical gauge looking at the same pipe connection area in front of the carb's. It always shows middle of the Rotax spec. range. Never suffers from poor elecronic set up or computer crashes. It came from the UK Rotax guru's company Conair. Always good advice and help is available from them.

I was reviewing the old post about the carbs venting and realized I had never disclosed that we found the source. It was a broken engine mount! the mount was cracked and was vibrating excessively at idle. the mount has been replaced, the problem solved.
