    Hi Tony,

    You have a 912ULS
You should be good to go. Your engine is over 5500 engines after the affected ones that need a new crankcase.

For those that think they are eligible you must make sure all other SB's, SA's are current and documented in the logbook, all inspections have been done, especially the gearbox inspection at either 600 hrs or 1000 hrs. You should have been keeping the signed maint. inspection checklist after an annual and or the 100 hr and doing at least 100 hr. oil analysis. If you haven't then you should start.

    Hi Roger,

Add me to the list of confused ones. My 912ULS s/n is 5 646 395. I somehow was under the impression I needed to replace the crankcase as well to upgrade to the 2000HR TBO. Can mine be upgraded with the steps you described above, as well?

    Thanks,
    Randy

    Hi Paul,

Your engine does fall under the crankcase replacement.

The later design crankcase was fitted to 912ULS engines starting from engine serial number 5646660.

912ULS Engines after serial number 6775790 are 2000Hr TBO without any modification.

    I am looking at a 912S S/N 4425604, In checking the SB-912-057 I do not believe I can extend the TBO to 2000 Hours & 15 Years.
