I’m new here. I’m putting a 912ULS in a Zenith CH701. What is the recommendation on which lines should be firesleeved?

* Fuel lines (my engine already has those)
* Line to fuel pressure sensor I remote mounted on firewall.
* Oil lines from engine to oil cooler to oil tank.
* Coolant lines (water cooler, water pump)
* Manifold pressure sensor mounted on firewall (still not sure if I will use this)

    Hi Curtis,

All fuel and oil lines should get fire sleeve. The remote fuel pressure line too. Use the proper clamps on the fuel lines and fire sleeve. Ace Hardware serrated style garden variety hose clamps are not suitable even though you may have seen them on some planes. You can also use fire sleeve and slit it length wise and wire tie it to coolant line on one side as a heat shield if they are close to an exhaust pipe. Read the blog on the hose change here on the forum and it will help in your en devour.
A good hose clamp for the oil line is a fuel injection clamp. It is a style of band clamp.

Thanks Roger. I had seen your post about fuel line clamps. I have been using these for the larger water hoses:

    Hi Curtis,

Those would work for oil and coolant. After you have applied a new hose and clamp it should be checked at the next 100 hr. inspection. For me all clamps or nuts are loose until you put a wrench on them. You will find new hose and clamps settle so the clamps may need a turn or two to pick up the slack as they settled in.
