AS a kitfox model 5 owner , I know of many kitfox model 3 , 4 s that work awesome so don't give up. Have you been on the teamkitfox forum ? lots of info and help there for you specific airframe engine combo .

I learnt about the peculiarities of the 912 installation on this models and followed lots of tips and tricks but so far nothing seems to be working with this one!
