I’ve been trolling through endless manuals and SB’s etc with no joy. Can anyone tell me what thread my oil pump pressure sensor is. M10 or NPT? The housing number is 911711 which doesn’t seem to relate to any texts. The engine was produced mid 2018

I had the same trouble when I installed my 2013 engine (912uls). I believe I ended up with M10 being the answer, but I cannot prove it now so don't take my word for it. The metric and NPT threads in this size range are so close it is easy to install the wrong one-be careful.

They have changed over the years but a 2018 engine should be M10 x 1 .

It should go in easily by finger up until it seats.

911711 is the Oil Pump Cover.

    The Pump Housing is 911815.

    Neil,

Troll to the latest Heavy Maintenance Manual, available here on this site for free download, Section 79-00-00 page 27 for the information you seek. It also refers you to SI 912-020 for additional information.

I have a 2018 engine as well but had a custom braided steel flex line set manufactured for me and removed the new sensor during installation, replacing it with the line. My flex line feeds a direct pressure VDO cockpit gauge.

I bought mine from aircraftspecialty.com wonderful people to work with. It was a two piece solution including the firewall pass through fitting and all adapter fittings for engine side and gauge side. Best to call them, you’ll have to measure and tell them the lengths you need. Steel braided flex lines professionally fire sleeved on the engine side hose. Matches the new Rotax fuel line fire sleeve. Install was simple. Don’t remember the price but that’s good because I’m a bit thrifty (OK, I’m a cheapskate) so it couldn’t have been too painful. well, for an aircraft product anyway.
