914 Not Flown For 6 Years

High on the list will be the 5-year Rubber change.
All rubber parts need to be replaced.
That includes every Rubber Hose, Seal and Bushing!  $$$

Thanks Bill.  Since there was an extensive Condition Inspection done in August, I will check on the 5 year rubber replacement.

The current 914 heavy maintenance manual section 71-00-00 is pretty specific regarding new engines (which should be sent to an authorized overhaul facility to be inspected if the storage period has exceeded 24 months!) - so you might want to take that into consideration for your lightly-used engine

Thanks for the info.  The current owner is supposed to call me today, so I'll ask all the pertinent questions.

Below is the list of time limited parts that need to be replaced every 5 years. You can see the manual reference in the link. NOTE: It does not include every seal or bushing as previously stated above 

- venting hose of the carburetors

- all rubber hoses of the cooling system

- all rubber hoses of the fuel system

- all rubber hoses of the lubrication system which are part of the engine supply volume and if they are not in the maintenance schedule of the aircraft manufacturer

- carburetor rubber flange assy.

- Air intake hose (the connection between turbocharger and airbox)

- diaphragm on both carburetors

- rubber hoses on compensating tube

- V-belt
