"Diffuser" on Bing 64?

I am doing a 200-hr inspection on my carbs (I have 912 ULS made in 2017), and have discovered that they don't seem to have the old diffuser that normally sits over the needle jet. Instead there's a sort of fixed brass ring, cut down on one side, that sticks up into the throat of the carb.
Unlike the old diffuser (which is still shown in the "current" IPC (Ed4,Rev3)), this part does not just come out when you remove the main jet/mixing tube/needle jet combo. Can someone tell me what this part is now called, what the part number might be, and how/if it can be removed/replaced?
