Thanks to everybody for their input. I’ll wrap them and I’ll be very cautious with how the layers overlap. I hope that the temperatures under the cowling will be at least a bit lower. Once again, thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions.

If you are unsure look at the recommendations that come with the wrap. Here is one type on a Harley bike. Note the overlap and remember that it will be damp when you wrap it, keep it tight.
